Disappear

I wake up in the morning all alone
Look around for you but you are missing
I get ready and go to work
To make the world feel that I am still living.

I walk the paths of life all alone
Wishing every second you were with me
People say Hello and I return it with a smile
But the voidness inside me is something no-one can see.

The sun begins to set and I walk to a park
I watch children playing and couples together
Then I see myself sitting on a bench alone
Thinking of all the happiness which I've lost forever.

Then it gets dark and I get back home
I look for your arms to hold me but they don't appear
You were the only light in my life but you left me

And in the darkness even my shadows disappear
