Swept Me Away

There flows a river
to the south
Drawin all life
away, just away

There I sat once
across the shore
Watchin it flow
On a sunny day

A flower I saw
Flowin across
Gettin swept away
to the valley

I reached out
to save its soul
to hold its beauty
make it my molly

How foolish was me
The flower got hold
of an ugly stone
Told me to go away

But How cud I?
I had come too far
And the river

just swept me away
