Colorful Curse

Down the memory lane
Lived a heart of desires
Of hopes and dreams
and countless smiles

The grass was his world
The hopper his friend
To catch a bee
Could run for miles

Ever growing zeal
of conquering the world
Never ending dreams
when he slept at night

Ever lasting passion
of winning the hearts
Never ending imaginations
without a light

Time passes by
he grows into a man
He sees the world
before his eyes

Truly fake hearts
Alive dead people
He cries for his childhood
And wants to hide

The world has nothing
that he could conquer
Hearts are empty
that he could win

Nights are sleepless
he cannot dream
The smile is lost
right under his chin

He sees everyone
tryin to catch
their very own shadow
on the way

Each one dies
a million times
just to live
yet another day

Women are smarter
than he can take
they don't offer love
without a thought

And the whole story
revolves around
how much money
have you really got!

Friends are those
who are always close
Just to find a moment
to stab you in the back

Wives are those
who could easily slip
your statement of will
down the rack

He looks back at the world
to find a remain
But that's just a book
fed to leeches on a shelf

Broken, still tries to smile
To accept this fate
But that smile is something
that cries in itself

So on and so forth
he watches this zoo
Where every other animal
is just another worse

And the only thought
he's left with, is that
Life is nothing
but a colorful curse!
